Well, I'm not entirely sure how I did it, but I skipped a day and went from Day #2 to Day #4 in our series about
heaven's wonderful gifts to us. I forgot to send out Day #3, so here it is:
Day #3 - Peace
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
Peace is one of those subjects that is often spoken about, but rarely experienced in a person's life. Jesus has
promised however, to give us a peace that passes all understanding. We may not totally understand it, but we can accept it as a gift that heaven offers to us.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."
John 14:27
Jesus offers peace to each of us. Our job is to accept it. It's a gift...and it can be a wonderful thing to experience!
