Hello
Sometimes, we
just have to STOP what we are doing and pray!
I wanted to write to you and let you know that I was strongly impressed to pray for our Open Word Daily e-Devotional Subscriber family this morning. I was busily working on a number of things that need my attention when I felt led to stop what I was doing, bow my head, and pray for someone on our list of subscribers. I don't know who, I don't know what they are going through, but
the "nudge" was real.
Now, that being said, let me assure you that I have no idea what anyone on our subscriber list might be going through that would bring this "nudge" to my attention. I often think about our Open Word subscriber family, I wonder how each person is getting on during their day, but I can't pretend to know what each person deals with. There are hundreds and hundreds of subscribers, and I cannot possibly know each of you individually. I cannot
BEGIN to understand your struggles. I cannot even SCRATCH THE SURFACE of comprehension when I wonder how life is going for each of our Open Word e-Devotional family members.
We have a God that knows all about it.
I may not know about what each person is being challenged with...but God does! We have a Heavenly Father who sees and understands that we are often in situations that concern us (or our family members). Some of us struggle with health challenges. For others, it might be something of a financial nature. For
still others, it might be a situation that they are having with someone that they care deeply about. God sees, and cares!
We have a loving Creator that knows all about us; our heartache, our mistakes, our "issues," and the sins that so easily beset us. He knows all of this, and
yet He continues to love us with an everlasting love...and to strive with us right in the moment of our confusion and pain.
If there is something of a specific nature that I can lift up on your behalf, please understand that it is O.K. to personally write to me.
I have a good number of Open Word Family members who contact me for prayer. I count it a privilege to lift each of you up towards heaven. If you have a specific prayer request that you would like to share with
me, it's never a burden to stop what I am doing and pray for you! I count it a privilege.
Please pray for me!
I solicit your prayers as well...for my family, for my ministry, and for the challenging times in life when I don't know which direction to take. If you would lift me up in prayer I would appreciate it very much!
Well, that's all I had to say in this note. God loves you, and I believe
that someone on our subscriber list needed to hear that He loves them enough to "nudge" another believer to lift them up in prayer.
Warmest Regards,
P.S. If you have a friend that needs prayer who is NOT an Open Word subscriber, I will gladly pray for them too. Feel free to share this note with them, and I will be happy to lift them up as well.
