Hello ,

I wanted to write you a quick note to say a great big "thank-you" for lifting my mother up in prayer while she was in surgery yesterday.  The surgery was a success, and although my mom is 88 years old (she's o.k. with my sharing that with you), the Lord has really strengthened her to face this surgery.  She was discharged today (less than 24 hours after she went into surgery).  

The doctors have told her that they got all of the cancer, so of course we are very relieved.  What bolstered my faith throughout this though, was my mom's attitude about life in general.  She has a simple, steadfast faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and she knew that she could count on Him to pull her through.

I want to personally express my gratitude to each every Open Word reader who lifted my dear mother up in prayer, and wanted to share this update for those who might be curious.  God is good...all the time.
