Hello ,

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

I am of the opinion that the Word of God actually changes lives.  I'm serious about that idea, and in 2014 I want to bring the scriptures to as many people as I possibly can.  I want to do something a little bit different, and I hope that it will be meaningful to everyone who participates.  

2014 - The Year of the Bible

Throughout 2014, I will be adding something to the bottom of each daily Open Word e-Devotional.  Every morning, you will receive two passage prompts at the bottom of the e-Devotional; one for the morning, and one for the evening.  If we are dedicated to reading the morning and the evening passages everyday...together we can read the entire bible through in 2014. 

I'm certainly not advocating this daily reading to merely "get through" the scriptures, but to actually "spend time" in the scriptures.  If there is power for better living found within the pages of God's Word, wouldn't it make sense to get more of it in our minds?
