Hello ,
My heart is heavy tonight. I received news earlier this evening that a friend (and Open Word e-Devotional subscriber from the area that I grew up in) has passed away. Fred White was a wonderful man that I looked up to.
He had a kind and gentle way about him, and I don't ever recall hearing him say one negative thing
about anyone (in all the years that I have known him). He was the kind of neighbor and friend that we hear about, but rarely encounter.
Fred was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and he lived a Christ-like life in a myriad of ways too numerous to mention. He knew Who his Savior was, and I look forward
to seeing him again someday.
Fred, and his wife Claudia loved an old hymn that means a great deal to so many. "In The Garden" is one of those hymns that spans time, and has been sung over, and over again. In memory of Fred, I would like to share a link to that old song. This particular rendition was sung by Glen
