Having the victory in our lives over the sinful struggles that can so easily set us back is not en event...it's a process. When we see it
as an event, we:
- Never quite arrive...in our own minds.
- Are prone to look at the negatives about ourselves.- Tend to stay inwardly focused on how much WE can do.
- Often Use various "measurement" tools to scale how far we've come.
- Look at others to see if they are as "far along" as we
are.
There are some who believe that they will finally have "peace" when they finally have victory...but victory is NOT an event!

Peace doesn't come from Victory.
Victory comes from peace!
When we KNOW that we have a God that loves us, and will be there to catch us when we fall, and that He will lovingly help us back up...we will have
peace.
When we have peace...we are in the best environment for victory!
"Being confident in this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus." Phillipians 1:6
If you are discouraged today about the fact that your life doesn't always measure up, take heart. Victory is not en event...it's a process.
Lord, help me not to measure myself by what I can do...help me keep my eyes
firmly focused on what YOU can do in me and through me. Amen.
