Recently, our family was without power at our house, and once again I was reminded of an amazing truth. We have some wonderful lights in our home. Some are quite beautiful, and I enjoy the homeyness of a warm light in the living room on a cold night.
No matter how stunning these lights are however; no
matter how good they look on the outside, not one of them can cause themselves to shine. There must be a power from outside of themselves that they are connected to if they are ever to shine in the way that they were created to.
Let me challenge you to draw some of
your own spiritual analogies. Think about another verse of scripture that may apply to this idea.
