A good number of people in our Open Word subscriber family have either struggled during the past hurricanes that have struck their areas, or they have family members that are challenged
by a hurricane that has struck, or is on its way.
I believe in the power of prayer!
Admittedly, I don't always know what to pray for, but I do believe that our Creator God knows what people need. I want to trust Him fully with that, but I also want to do my part in lifting up these unfortunate situations to Him.
Would you join me in prayer for all those
who have been affected, or that will be affected by the hurricanes?
I am going to have a special time of live prayer with members of our Open Word e-Devotional family this evening at 7 p.m. Central Time / 8 p.m. on a conference call. This is something that I have never done before, but I
feel like it's something that can make a difference. I have set up a conference call number that you can ring in on, and we'll take just a few minutes to pray together if you should decide to join us.
I understand that this is short notice, and that there are many who will be unable to join me on this call, but if you can make it I welcome you to it. If you can't make it, please lift up this special prayer request at your convenience.
Here is the step-by-step method for
getting on the phone call.
1. Dial-in Number - 515-739-1285
2. When you dial the number,
an automated voice will direct you to dial in your participant code.
3. Dial in the following code: 509747
4. Press the pound (#) sign after you dial in the participant code.
After you've done these things, you will enter into a conference call area. I will wait until about 7:02 p.m. (Central Time) until I begin praying. You may hear "blips" as people join us in prayer.
More "blips" mean that more people are joining us. You don't even have to say anything if you don't wish to, but if you could lift your heart with ours in prayer, that would be tremendous.
The areas that are being affected by all kinds of weather right now desperately need God to protect, direct, and guide. Thank-you in advance for joining us in prayer (either by phone, or on your own time). May God keep us in His loving and tender care!
