Pastor Warren hits the nail right on the head! Feeling discontent with who we are, what we have, and our station in life can be normal, but there are too many blessings to stay there. God is SO good to
us!
Rather than wish away our lives day in and day out, why not count the blessings that God has freely given to us. Here's a short list to get us started:
- God has blessed
me with a heart that keeps on pumping in my chest. Every heartbeat reminds me that life is a gift.
- He's given me the amazing opportunity to live for Him. I'm not very good at it yet, but with His help and care I'm doing better every day.
- I've been given the gift of friendship with so many wonderful people. Each new day is an opportunity to enjoy their company; to give and receive friendship.
- God has blessed me with a wonderful family! Every
day, I look around me and think to myself, "Wow, I can't believe how blessed I really am."
What are you thankful for today? What causes you to stand in awe of what God has already done for you in this life? Let me challenge you to take a few moments to reflect on it during your busy schedule.
