Your Open Word e-Devotional for February 6th

Hello ,

"The grass is always greener on the other side."  Is this a true statement?

When I was younger, there used to be a television show called, "Let's Make A Deal."  Show host Monty Hall would try to tempt people by allowing them to trade in what they had already won for something that was behind another door.  Sometimes they would win something of incredible value, but often they would win something that was ridiculous, cheap, or useless. They were given a choice, but it often ended in failure.  Great for a laugh in your living room.  Not so great when playing the same game in real life.

Choosing Christ to be the Lord of our lives is always a good decision.  Choosing to trade Him in for the promise of something better never is.  If you have a living, breathing relationship with Jesus Christ, you have won the grand prize for all eternity.  If you don't, it's time to trade up!

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."  Matthew 6:33

Have a great day and God bless!
