Your Open Word e-Devotional for January 5th

Published: Thu, 01/05/17

Hello ,

I live in an area that is receiving a great deal of snow this winter.  If it's one thing that winter teaches us, it is to be patient.  The "white stuff" can take a long time to shovel, is often difficult to travel in, and usually is accompanied by frigid temperatures.

Through it all though, God stands with us (shoulder to shoulder), patiently, lovingly, mercifully.  He's on this journey with us, and He's in it for the 'long haul."

There will be challenges.

We will struggle.

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

God loves you, He knows that you have situations that are uniquely yours, but He invites you to lean on Him...especially when it feels like the rest of the world is against you.  We still have much to learn, and our Heavenly Father can use everything that we are challenged by for our eternal good.

Have a great day and God bless!
