How important is the gift of being able to hear? Yesterday I asked a group of elementary children this question. All this week, we've been having special presentations each day about our five sense. Yesterday, we discussed the amazing gift of hearing.
This can be something that we take for granted, but it shouldn't be. Being able to hear someone speak to us, or enjoy the night sounds of crickets chirping is an incredible privilege. So many people don't even recognize just how important our hearing is.
Below is a link to a video of a mother who recently heard her 8 year old son speak to her for the very first time. It's a touching clip, and it drives home just how important this gift is.
In November, we have so many reasons to be thankful! The gift of hearing is no exception. Our God is an awesome God!
