Hello ,
"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Now, put your name into the verses instead of the word "love." When I did this, it made me stop and really think. Here's what this would look like:
Mike suffers long and is kind; Mike does not envy; Mike does not parade himself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek his own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
What a wake-up call this was for me when I had to admit that in many ways this verse cuts across my humanity. I truly need more of Jesus, and less of me!
Have a great day and God bless!
