Hello ,
Well, it's been a few days, but people are still talking about the Superbowl that took place this past Sunday evening. People sure do get excited about this yearly event.
The very first Superbowl that was held had ticket prices of around $12. Sunday night's game between the Patriots and the Rams had much higher prices.
A strange thought occurred to me as everyone was talking about who would win. It may seem like I'm being a curmudgeon, and I hope it doesn't come across like that. I do however, struggle with how 'up in arms" some people get about a football game.
If Christians got as excited about sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with their friends as they do about sharing football scores and stats with each other, lives would most certainly be changed.
If we're not excited enough about Jesus to share the good news that He came to set people free, perhaps we need to re-examine whether we're really all that excited about it in the first place.
Just a thought, but a thought worth pondering in my opinion.
Have a great day and God bless!
