Hello ,
"It is more
important to know where you are going than to get there quickly. Do not mistake activity for achievement." Mabel Newcomber
A while back I heard something in a sermon that I had heard before...but this time from a different angle. "Our God is a crock-pot God - not a microwave." I like that! God is not
nearly as concerned with the immediacy of us getting everything accomplished in our lives, as He is in where we are headed on that journey. Does that make sense?
The picture above is of an actual pot that people cook in on the stove. It reminds me that good food often takes times and effort. Good relationships are
no different.
More than anything, God wants us to be re-created in His beautiful image. That doesn't necessarily happen overnight. We can be converted, but still have rough edges that need to be polished smooth by the loving hands of a Heavenly Father who knows us best. Understanding that we are not perfect will help us to
keep moving forward in our daily walks with Him. We need Him every step of the way!
Have a great day and God bless!
