Hello ,
I don't know what kind of a day you've had today, but I do know that life can throw some things at us that
may seem almost more than we can bear. I have had days that were so frustrating and debilitating, that the only thing I could do was just sigh out an anxious, "Lord, you know my heart" prayer.
If you have had one of those days today (or if you know someone who has), I'd like to extend an invitation to check out our video page at The Open Word
Journey. I've placed a few videos there that I hope will be a blessing to anyone who takes the time to stop by.
1. I've placed a "Nightsounds" video at the very top of our page. If you've ever listened to Nightsounds, you realize that Bill Pearce's soothing voice and calm demeanor can really take the edge off the sharp feelings of anxiety.
The particular video that I have placed here has the title of "Held." Bill discusses how sometimes we just need to be held by God during the rough spots. I was really blessed by his presentation, and I hope you will be too.
2. I've also placed a video of a song by Natalie Grant entitled "Held." The video has the lyrics to the song that you can read as you listen. It's a song that has long been one of my favorites when I struggle to understand something tragic that doesn't make sense to me.
3. There is also a video of Steven Curtis Chapman's song "Be Still And Know." It reminds us that there are moments when all that we can do is to remain quiet and know that God is still on His throne of grace and mercy.
I can't pretend to know what you are currently going through, but I do believe that God cares. Please feel free to
share this note with anyone in your sphere of influence that might need a little "pick-me-up" from discouragement. Life is hard, but God is good. Praying for you!
Warmest Regards,
