Hello ,
Here's a devotional that I wrote in 2012. I think it's just as appropriate in the world that we're living in today, as it was back then.
Scientists who have been analyzing the human genome believed that our DNA was packed with what they called "junk"--at least four million useless bits that didn't seem to do anything. Before this project, most scientists believed that only 5 to 10 percent of the DNA in a human being was actually used. But apparently these four million bits of junk aren't useless after all.
An immense federal project involving 440 scientists from 32 laboratories around the world have been unraveling some of the mysteries of our DNA and it is definitely complex. One scientist described our DNA this way: "It's like opening a wiring closet and seeing a hairball of wires"--only this "hairball of wires" is actually about 10 feet of DNA stuffed into a microscopic nucleus of a cell.
Apparently, the psalmist was right all along: we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:13). Or as an old poster used to say, "God don't make no junk."
The same God Who made you so "fearfully and wonderfully" cares about what happens in your world today. Lean on Him through it all.
Have a great day and God bless!
