Hello ,
In Seymour Hearsh's not-so-flattering book on President John Kennedy, he tells the story of the death of Kennedy's son Patrick, who was born prematurely and died of a lung ailment.
Secret Serviceman Larry Newman reports that while the lad was fighting for his life Kennedy went to see him in the hospital's 5th floor, which had been cleared of all visitors.
On his way to the room President Kennedy passed by an open door and saw two girls, 3 or 4 years old, playing in bed. They were both terribly burned and bandaged.
Kennedy just stood and looked. He learned one of the children would probably lose one of her hands. Without fanfare, the President penned a note to each girl. After several minutes he went to his own son's room. Patrick died the next day.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:29-31
If a mere man—even a president—can show love and concern to two unknown children while his own son is suffering and dying, how much more will our infinite Father in heaven take concern in us.
Have a great day and God bless!
