Hello ,
What is Jesus talking about? He mentions in our verse today, that the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. Huh? If this were the only verse on the subject, it might be a little difficult to understand on its face. Another verse in Matthew helps expand it further:
"So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; most assuredly, I say to you; if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
What mountain has become seemingly impassable in your life this week? What are you up against that seems like it has taken on a life of its own?
God can give you the strength to go over it, around it, or through it. He may even choose to move it out of the way!
When we look at the "mountains" in our lives, sometimes it seems like we are too small, too insignificant, too unaccomplished to go against them. Sometimes it feels like we're standing all alone waving a dull sword at a huge, fire-breathing dragon that wants to consume us. Have you ever been there? Have you had something happen to recently that seems to zap your fortitude?
It is at our weakest moments that God can show His strength. A weak person connected to an all-powerful God is an amazing thing!
Give your mountain to God today. Give Him your struggles, your trials, your anguish. Leave the "mountain-moving" to Him. He's capable, He'll give you strength, and He may even choose to move it out of your way!
Have a great day and God bless!
