definition of tal·ent
1. A special natural ability or aptitude
2. A capacity for achievement or success; ability
Just in case you haven't heard it lately, you are an enormously talented individual. Yes you! No matter who you are, where you're from, or what your station in life, you have talents that are important to God and to the building up of His kingdom.
I once knew a woman who told me that she was an absolute "no-talent." She looked me straight in the eye and flatly said, "God didn't give me any talents whatsoever. I don't have even one." While statements like these might sound noble on their face, they actually come just a little short of calling God a liar. He claims that He gave them to everyone.
Your talent might not be what everyone else possesses, but God gave you something that you can use, cultivate, and grow for productive use. I've even known a person who could bake a really nice loaf of bread, and they used that talent to spread God's love to other people.
God's not concerned with how many talents we have, or how immense those talents are. He's more concerned with whether or not we respond to His call to actually use them for His glory.
Go exercise your "talent muscles" today, and see how good it makes you feel. You might just discover that using them became the very best part of your day.
