"People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." John Maxwell
Do I want to lead someone to Christ today? I won't get them there by arguing some theological point until they finally submit to the "truthfulness" of my statements. Hurting people just aren't that interested in how much I happen to know. They are however, very interested in how much I care about them!
As you and I study the life of Jesus, one thing becomes abundantly clear; He didn't lead people into a relationship with Him by pestering them with the exegesis of scripture, or the contents of His brain. He won their hearts by being kind, healing, and loving those that He came in contact with.
Did He speak the truth? Absolutely! But prior to speaking it, He loved those whom He was attempting to reach by acts of service and kindness. If I am to follow His example, can I afford to take another approach?
