A story is told of a little girl in the 1950's who was standing on the street corner and she was sobbing. She was no more than 6-7, and it was obvious that she was lost. A policeman who was walking the beat approached and smiled at her. "What's your name?" he asked. The little girl said nothing, and kept sobbing. "What's the matter?"
he gently inquired. Again, the little girl said nothing.
The policeman stood up, and the little girl began to sob again. "What do you want little girl?" the policeman once again implored. What the little girl said next took his breath away.
"I want to be found."
In our heart of hearts, isn't that what we all really want...to be found?
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah
31:3
If someone you know is struggling with feelings of "lostness," take a moment right now and lift them up in prayer. Prayer changes things!
