Hello ,
I am currently on the road in another city this morning. Last night, I was in a local store, and was approached by an old friend who used to be a congregant of mine. We were both surprised to see each other (I was 250 from home). When I inquired how he was doing, he shared with me that he was going into open heart surgery this morning. I asked him point blank, "are you anxious?" He paused and quietly said, "I'm scared to death."
I am a believer in "divine appointments," and I don't think it was an accident that we met in a random store last evening. Would you join me this morning, and say a quick prayer for my friend? He is in surgery as I write this to you, and my heart is heavy for him. His family has experienced a number of devastating losses this year, and he could really use our prayers. Thank-you for your consideration.
