Today is the day! I've been praying about this day for 20+ years, and this is it. At 2 p.m. Central Time I will have the privilege of walking my daughter down the aisle, of placing her hands into the hands of the man of her dreams, and of conducting the ceremony for their wedding.
I don't feel very prepared for any of this, but as Taylor's father I am more than a little excited for her. Her mother and I began praying for her future husband when she was just a baby, and today we see the fruits of our prayers in the form of a young man that we have come to love, and are very proud of.
I'd love to have something spiritually profound to share with you today, but I can only say "Praise God for my little girl!" She's a woman now, and her mother and I are thankful to have been given the opportunity to raise her.
Please keep all of us in your prayers today if you think of it. My daughter's daddy really needs them. He's doing the service, and he wants it to glorify the God in heaven who gave her to us!
It's been 7 years today, and you can see a recent picture of Taylor, and her husband, Albert in the picture above. We couldn't be happier with her choice in a mate. Albert is hard-working, kind, and very honorable to my wife and I. He not only treats us with kindness and respect, but with the loving care of someone who is truly our son.
We continue to pray for them both, as they navigate that "waters" of marriage. God knew what He was doing when He brought them together, and I praise God (once again) for this dear couple, and wish them a very Happy Anniversary!
