Have you ever heard the term "Six degrees of separation?" Six degrees of separation is the idea that all people are six, or fewer, social connections away from each other. Also known as the 6 Handshakes rule.
In other words, you know someone who knows someone that you don't know.
Sounds fairly simple, but if taken to the 6th degree I'm sure you can see the potential for being connected to a great number of people that you have never met, or that you couldn't possibly know. Just looking at the picture that I included gets my mind whirling. Knowingly (or unknowingly), you and I are connected in more ways than one.
The Open Word e-Devotionals has been sending out daily e-Devotionals continuously for almost 11 years. We have a subscriber base of over 600 who faithfully read The Open Word every morning.
I know (from so many subscribers who personally correspond with me), that this small ministry touches the lives of others in some pretty amazing ways. I certainly can't take any credit. I am just a vessel. The Holy Spirit gets all the credit for touching hearts and lives.
I could use your help.
When I think of all the people who have contacted me with stories over the years, I can't help but wonder who is still out there, who might be blessed by the ministry of The Open Word Daily e-Devotionals. I still believe in the power of prayer, and I have witnessed God's power working through this ministry far too many times to ever doubt that He is working through the feeble efforts of this small outreach. 2. Would you please consider sharing the FREE subscription link with your friends and family via e-mail? You know people that I don't know. It's that simple. There may be someone in your contact list who would appreciate these daily e-Devotionals being sent to their own e-mail inbox. There's nothing to purchase. The Open Word Daily e-Devotionals have been totally FREE since the inception of
this ministry, and I have covenanted with God that they will remain so for as long as this ministry continues. A personal letter of introducing The Open Word to a friend on your contact list, and sharing the link: www.openwordjourney.com is all that is necessary on your part, and has the potential to make an amazing impact in another person's life.
What could happen if you shared that link with just 2 friends, and they each shared the link with 2 of their friends? If each of our subscribers would share this link with just 2 people that they know and care about today, we have the potential to reach more than 1000 people in just a few short hours with our FREE subscription offer. If that idea were multiplied to the 6th degree (think
"six degrees of separation"), the potential to reach 40,000 subscribers is totally within the realm of reality.
