Hello ,
Growing up in New York State, autumn was one of my favorite times of the year. It seemed like the world softened around the edges just a bit during this time, and I always enjoyed walking the dirt roads of my hometown. The beautiful leaves, with their myriad of colors are something that I still miss whenever we near the end of September. There's something peaceful about hearing the leaves crunch under your feet, and listening
to birds sing.
Sometimes, we need to stop, look, and really listen to everything that God has made around us in order to remember that we're just journeying here; that our ultimate goal and destination is heaven. When I can't take a peaceful walk in nature, the next best thing for me is to listen to soothing music. I'm going to share a link with you this morning. This is about an hour of music (hymns) arranged and performed by an
acquaintance of mine named Greg Howlett. I really enjoy the way he "tickles" the ivories. Here's the link.
There are moments when words are inadequate for how we're feeling, and music aptly describes the peaceful center that we long for. I hope you enjoy these musical numbers, and that they bring you a special measure of God's grace and peace as you listen to them.
Have a great day and God bless!
