Hello ,
A photographer was snapping pictures of first graders at an elementary school, making small talk to put his subjects at ease.
"What are you going to be when you grow up?" he asked one little girl.
"Tired," she said.
I had to chuckle when I heard that story, but I have to admit that there are days when I can really relate to this little girl's sentiments. Some days I would like to just lie down somewhere and take a nap.
Have you ever felt like that?
Do you feel that way today?
Jesus often would take time away from the hustle and bustle of life to spend time with His Heavenly Father, to be alone, and to pray. We can follow His example and find the rest and rejuvenation that we so desperately need.
"Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed." Mark 1:35
We don't necessarily have to rise long before daylight, but if we will be intentional about taking a few moments to spend quality time with our Creator, it can pay huge dividends in our outlook, in our spiritual courage, and in our physical ability to continue to carry on. Let me urge you to take a little time away from
life's busy-ness.
Have a great day and God bless!
