Hello ,
Oslo, Norway has a citizenry seriously devoted to recycling, and now, a major shortage of garbage. Yes, that's a problem. "Around half of the Norwegian capital is heated by garbage-burning power plants, but with recycling rates very high, the plants simply can't get enough of the stuff ..." The city's been forced to actually import trash from as far away as Ireland to make up for the refuse deficit.
Who would be put out of work if the "garbage" of our lives ran out? Are there systems of behavior so built around some of our messes, that it would be a challenge to learn how to survive without them? Could it also be true that some of us import garbage from others if we don't have enough of our own? Are we living in spiritual bondage because we need "garbage" to keep us going?
There are potent spiritual applications here, and the Bible is very clear that there is only One Way to take out the "garbage" in our spiritual lives.
"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Have a great day and God bless!
