Hundreds of pop star Taylor Swift's fan letters somehow found their way into a Tennessee dumpster in 2013. A local woman taking out her recycling found the glitter covered heap of correspondence discarded in a bin behind an elementary school. According to a statement from Swift's rep, the star gets "thousands of fan letters every
day."
It's understandable that the celebrity would have a difficult time getting through all of that fan mail, but the thought occurred to me, that there were perhaps hundreds of pre-pubescent girls that worked very diligently...on heart-felt letters that wouldn't ever be
read.
I'm thankful that we have a God Who listens to EVERYTHING that we have to say...no matter how many times we contact Him. Prayer is a powerful gift that keeps on giving...no matter who we are.
Thank-you Lord, for listening to me. Help me to never take that gift for granted, and to stay in contact with You throughout my day. Amen.
