"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Think about the profoundness of this verse!
- While I was still wrestling with forgiving that person that hurt me so deeply...Christ died for me.
- While I was trapped in an addiction that took me down roads that hurt me and, were at times, painfully shameful....Christ died for me.
- While I brought ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the table....Christ died for me.
- While I was spiritually and emotionally bankrupt....Christ died for me.
Christ died for me! Even during times when I struggled with having collective "act" together in life, Christ loved me so much that He CHOSE to die for me.
Let this thought seep into your heart and mind today. God loves you...and his love is NOT based on your behavior!
