Hello ,
Three old men were at the doctor for a memory test. The doctor said to the first old man, "What is one plus one?"
"Two hundred seventy-four," he replied.
The doctor said to the second man, "It's your turn. What is one plus one?"
"Tuesday," replied the second man.
The doctor said to the third man, "Okay, your turn. What's one plus one?"
"Two," said the third man.
"That's great!" said the doctor. "How did you get that?"
"Simple," said the third man. "I subtracted 274 from Tuesday."
That little story made me chuckle out loud. It's a bit outrageous, but it aptly demonstrates how some people forget even the most important and simple things in life. The last time I checked, (which was just a few moments ago,) the Bible uses the word "remember" (in some form or another,) 230 times in the old and new testaments. It's used in reference to God "remembering," and it's also used in reference to
reminder for us NOT to forget.
Here's a link to that list. If you're looking for an amazing study, look at the list and see all the times that God told us to "remember" something.
Question: Would God want us to FORGET what He told us to REMEMBER?
It's serious food for thought.
Have a great day and God bless!
