Hello ,
Choosing What Is Right,
Even When It Costs
Scriptures:
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.” — Psalm 34:8
“Do not be overcome by evil, but
overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21
Goodness is love expressed through moral courage. It is the decision to do what is right, not what is easy or popular.
Throughout history, goodness has often
stood quietly against powerful opposition. During times of injustice, it was not loud anger that changed the world, but ordinary people who refused to compromise their integrity. They told the truth when lying was safer. They acted justly when cruelty was rewarded. Their goodness exposed darkness without becoming dark themselves.
Biblical goodness is not
about appearing righteous. It flows from trusting God’s character more than human approval. Jesus consistently chose goodness, even when misunderstood. He healed on the Sabbath, touched the unclean, and spoke truth to power—not to provoke, but to restore what sin had broken.
Goodness requires trust because it does not guarantee immediate results. Sometimes
doing the right thing leads to loss, rejection, or delay. But Scripture assures us that goodness always aligns us with God’s purposes, even when outcomes are unclear.
When we trust God, we are freed from needing to justify ourselves. We can choose goodness because we believe God sees, God knows, and God will bring justice in His time.
Today, trust that goodness is never wasted. Every honest choice, every act of integrity, every refusal to repay evil with evil—these shape your character and reflect God’s heart. Stay rooted in Him, and goodness will grow steadily in your life.
God is SO good to us...let us be good to one another as we allow Him to live out His
life through us.
