Kindness
Hello ,
The Quiet Power That Changes Hearts
Scriptures:
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another.” — Ephesians 4:32
“The kindness of God leads you to repentance.” — Romans 2:4
Kindness is often underestimated because it does not
announce itself. It does not demand attention. It does not force change. Yet Scripture tells us something remarkable—God uses kindness to turn hearts back to Him.
History confirms this truth. In the Roman world, power was displayed through dominance, punishment, and public shame. But early Christians lived differently. They practiced kindness in small,
consistent ways—caring for widows, feeding the poor, visiting prisoners, and welcoming the rejected. Roman writers noted with confusion that Christians gained followers not through persuasion or force, but through how they treated people. Kindness made the gospel believable.
Kindness is not weakness. It is strength that chooses compassion over control. It is
love that moves toward people instead of away from them. Jesus embodied this perfectly. He did not crush bruised reeds or extinguish smoldering wicks. He spoke gently to the broken and firmly to the proud, always guided by love.
Many people resist kindness because they fear it will be taken advantage of. But biblical kindness is not approval of wrongdoing.
It is an expression of trust—trust that God is the ultimate judge, and we are free to reflect His character.
Kindness grows when we trust God enough to stop hardening our hearts. It grows when we believe that gentleness can do what arguments cannot. God’s kindness toward us did not excuse sin; it invited transformation.
Today, trust that kindness matters more than you realize. A kind word, a patient response, a moment of grace—these are seeds God uses to bring life.
You may never see the full impact, but God does. Stay connected to Him, and kindness will grow
naturally through you.
