Part 4
Hello
“Not My will, but Yours, be done.”
— Luke 22:42
Gethsemane is one of the most revealing moments in Scripture. Not because of what Jesus did publicly—but because of what He wrestled with privately.
This is where the weight became
real.
Not symbolic.
Not theoretical.
Personal.
He knew what was coming—the suffering, the humiliation, the separation. And in that moment, He asked if there was another way. That matters, because it shows us that surrender is not the absence of struggle.
It is the decision made within it.
There is a version of faith that pretends everything is easy. That obedience is automatic. That alignment requires no cost.
Gethsemane dismantles that illusion.
Jesus felt the tension—and still chose the will of the Father.
“Not My will…”
That statement is where most people stop.
Because that’s where control is released.
We want God’s will—as long as it aligns with ours.
But real transformation happens at the point of surrender, not preference.
And it’s rarely loud.
It’s quiet. Internal. Decisive.
It’s the moment where you stop negotiating with what you already know is right.
And you step into it—fully aware of the cost.
That’s what makes it powerful.
Not ease.
But alignment.
Have a great day and God bless!
