Hello ,
“The Gift of
Humility”
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
— James 4:6 (NIV)
Humility is one of the quietest virtues
— and yet it holds some of the deepest power. It doesn’t shout for attention, it doesn’t need to prove itself, and it doesn’t chase validation. True humility isn’t weakness; it’s strength under control. It’s knowing who you are in Christ and no longer needing to be seen by everyone else.
When Jesus knelt to wash His disciples’ feet, He showed us what real
greatness looks like. The hands that shaped galaxies wrapped a towel around His waist and served. He wasn’t diminished by humility — He was revealed through it.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
—
Philippians 2:3 (NIV)
In a world that measures success by status and spotlight, humility quietly builds something eternal. It opens the door to wisdom, because a humble heart can be taught. It deepens our relationships, because a humble spirit listens instead of competes. And it draws us closer to God, because only the lowly can
truly feel the lift of His grace.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
— Micah 6:8 (NIV)
Father,
Thank You for the gift of humility — a grace that keeps us grounded and close to You. Help us to live with quiet strength, to serve without applause, and to remember that every good thing we have comes from Your hand. Teach us to walk low so that You can lift us high, in Your way and in
Your time.
Amen.
Humility doesn’t mean thinking less of yourself — it means thinking of yourself less. And in that space, God’s glory shines brighter than your own. ✨
Have a great day and God bless!
