Hello
“Beauty in the
Turning”
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”
— Psalm 19:1 (NIV)
There’s
something holy about the way autumn unfolds. The trees burst into color, each leaf catching the sunlight like stained glass. The air cools, the days shorten, and creation seems to exhale after the long labor of summer. It’s a time of turning — not just for the earth, but for our lives.
Every leaf that changes color tells a quiet truth: transformation is
beautiful, but it’s rarely comfortable. Before the tree rests, it glows. Before it lets go, it shines. And maybe that’s what God is doing in us too — allowing a season of color before the quiet, a visible display of His glory before He leads us into rest.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
Autumn invites us to slow down, to savor, to breathe. The world seems to whisper, “You don’t have to hold it all together.” Even as things fall away, God’s faithfulness remains. The chill in the air isn’t a sign of His absence; it’s an invitation to draw near, to wrap ourselves
in His warmth and remember that His presence never changes with the weather.
“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”
— Isaiah 33:6 (NIV)
Lord,
Thank You for the beauty of this turning season — for the reminder that change can be radiant when You are in it. Teach us to rest in Your rhythm, to trust in Your timing, and to see Your hand in every falling leaf and fading sunset. May our hearts, like
autumn trees, glow with gratitude before they let go.
Amen.
Even when everything around you is changing, God never does. 🍂 Let this be your season to turn toward Him — and find beauty in the becoming.
Have a great day and God bless!
