Hello ,
I'm regularly amazed by all the mistakes that I make, and how God is so incredibly patient with me. If I could only be that patient with others all the time, I'm convinced that life would go much smoother than it sometimes does.
Have you ever
privately wondered any of the following thoughts about someone else?
-"Is this 'crazy driver' day in my area?"
-"Why can't people just stop and think?"
-"Didn't she read the sign that said there are only 10 items allowed in this line?"
Have you ever caught yourself making an assumption about someone else based on something that they did, or how they look? We've probably all done that a time or two in our lives, but God calls us to higher moral ground.
Think about it;
every person you come in contact with has problems. Every person you meet has mind-numbing difficulties and struggles that they have dealt with, (or are currently dealing with) on their life's journey. Every person you encounter has made mistakes in the past; some small mistakes, and some rather large ones that they would change if only they could.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)
Regrets? Oh yes, everyone in your line of sight today has loads of them.
Pain? Some have pain that we cannot begin to see in a moment's glance.
Heartache? Many have more than their share of heart-rending personal chaos that no one is aware of.
God can help us to have patience toward these people. He can help us see them through clear new lenses. He can give us hearts that
will allow us to see others as He sees them; poor, weak, struggling human beings...just like us.
I'm praying for the kind of heart that sees people the way God sees them...with uncompromising love, patience, and kindness.
Have a great day and God bless!
