Hello ,
“I beseech you therefore,
brethren…that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice.” — Romans 12:1
The highest expression of giving glory to God is surrender. Not partial obedience, not selective trust—but full offering. Paul describes worship not as an event, but as a life laid down.
In the Old Testament, sacrifices were offered once and consumed. In the New Testament, believers are called to be living sacrifices—daily choosing to yield will, ambition, and identity to God. This is not loss; it is alignment.
Missionary Jim Elliot, who was killed while attempting to
reach the Huaorani people of Ecuador, famously wrote, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” His surrender appeared tragic to the world, but it ignited a missionary movement that continues to bear fruit.
Surrender glorifies God because it places Him at the center. It declares that His wisdom outranks our plans and His
purposes outweigh our preferences. True surrender is not passive resignation; it is active trust.
When you surrender control, outcomes, and identity to God, you acknowledge His lordship. Glory flows naturally from a life that says, “Not my will, but Yours.”
God is most glorified when He is most trusted. And trust is proven not by words alone, but by lives fully yielded into His hands.
Easy? Simple?
NO!
Absolutely impossible without Him!
