Hello ,
Abraham Lincoln famously wrote letters he never sent, understanding that unfiltered emotion often produces regret. Scripture echoes this wisdom. Growth in relationships is less about control and more about restraint.
Proverbs states, “The discretion of a man deferreth his
anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression” (Proverbs 19:11).
This is not weakness—it is strength under control.
Paul instructs believers, “With all lowliness
and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2).
Maturity preserves relationships through patience and humility.
God levels us up relationally
by teaching discernment—when to speak, when to pause, when to walk away. Growth often looks quieter than reaction.
As a new year begins, relational growth may mean releasing resentment, setting boundaries, or choosing peace over proving a point.
Not every relationship is meant to remain the same.
Wisdom protects energy.
Maturity protects peace.
Have a great day and God bless!
