Hello ,
Elite athletes understand that growth does not happen only during exertion—it happens during recovery. Scripture mirrors this wisdom. The body is not separate from spiritual life; it is the vessel through which purpose is lived.
Paul writes plainly, “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you… therefore glorify God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).
This is not a call to vanity or obsession, but stewardship. What God inhabits deserves
care.
Proverbs reminds us, “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength” (Proverbs 24:5).
Wisdom and strength are connected. Discipline supports
clarity. Rest supports endurance.
God levels us up physically by teaching balance—not extremes. Consistency over intensity. Stewardship over self-punishment. Burnout does not honor God. Sustainability does.
As the year
turns, physical growth may look simple: better rhythms, intentional rest, gentle discipline. Caring for the body supports emotional stability, mental clarity, and spiritual focus.
God does not demand perfection.
He invites responsibility.
Have a great day and God bless!
