Hello
In times of widespread crisis, one pattern always emerges: those who endure best are not the ones who suppress emotion, but those who acknowledge it honestly. Scripture affirms this reality. God does not require emotional numbness—He invites emotional honesty.
The psalmist writes, “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a
broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit”(Psalm 34:18).
God is not distant from pain. He draws near to it. Emotional brokenness does not repel God—it attracts His presence.
Paul echoes this when he records God’s words to him: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Emotional surrender creates space for divine strength. Pretending to be fine closes that space.
God levels us up emotionally by teaching us how to feel without being ruled by feeling. Emotional maturity is not the absence of pain; it is the ability to process pain without letting it dictate identity or behavior.
As a new year begins, emotional growth may mean grieving what was lost instead of rushing
past it. It may mean setting boundaries instead of numbing out. It may mean acknowledging exhaustion rather than spiritualizing it away.
God meets honesty with grace.
When emotions are brought into His presence, healing becomes possible. Strength follows surrender—not
denial.
Have a great day and God bless!
