Hello ,
In 1914, during the early days of World War I, a young British soldier named Albert Gitchell received a small package from home. Inside was a hand-knitted scarf from an elderly woman who had volunteered in a local knitting circle. She never met him. She didn’t know his fears, his loneliness, or what he was facing. Yet he wrote years later that when he opened that package on a freezing Christmas Eve, “I felt remembered by a stranger, and that was enough to warm my soul
more than the scarf warmed my body.”
Some of the greatest acts of love during the holidays are the small ones. A quiet kindness. A gentle word. A moment of compassion nobody else sees. The world teaches us that meaningful love must be grand and noticeable, but God shows us again and again that He works most powerfully through small gestures carrying eternal
weight.
The holidays can magnify loneliness, grief, or emotional exhaustion. That’s why kindness matters so much right now. You never know whose “frozen Christmas Eve” your simple gesture will show up on. God can take a small act of love and breathe supernatural encouragement into it.
Scripture says, “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32
As you enter this holiday season, don’t underestimate the quiet things. A text message. A card. A prayer. A moment of patience. God specializes in using small things to accomplish big work. Your
kindness may warm someone’s heart long after the moment has passed. Heaven sees what others don’t—and God uses it.
Have a great day and God bless!
