Hello ,
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved
us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4-5)
In October 2024, a seven-year-old boy in Sierra Leone named Mamadou, born nearly blind with cataracts, received life-changing eye surgery aboard a charity hospital ship. Afterward he said he could finally see his mother’s face clearly
for the first time (New York Post, Oct 13 2024).
Just as that surgery gave Mamadou new sight, God’s
mercy restores our spiritual vision. We were powerless, “dead in our trespasses,” yet God intervened out of rich mercy and love to give us new life in Christ.
Spend five quiet minutes thanking God for specific ways His mercy has opened your eyes to see Him more clearly this year.
Have a great day and god bless!
