Hello ,
Dr. Harold C.
Urey, Nobel prize winner in Chemistry, was walking along a sidewalk one day when he ran into another professor. They chatted for a few minutes. Then, as they parted, Dr. Urey asked the other: "John, which way was I going when I met you?" "That way," said the other, pointing. "Oh, good. That means I've already had my lunch," muttered the professor as he walked away.
Do you ever catch yourself forgetting something really important? God knew that human beings can tend to be forgetful, so I believe He used the word "remember" in a variety of places to remind us not to forget something.
For example, take the fourth commandment. You can read about it in the 20th chapter of Exodus
when God lays out His Holy 10. The only commandment with the word "remember" in it is the one that the world has largely forgotten about.
Could it be that God knew that men and women would get so busy that they would forget about resting? It sure seems that way.
With the busy-ness of our world today, we could use a little rest. The Sabbath - It's about time! It's waiting to be re-discovered.
Have a great day and God bless!
