Hello ,
Thomas Edison's manufacturing facilities in West Orange, N.J., were heavily damaged by fire one night in December, 1914. Edison lost almost $1 million worth of equipment and the record of much of his work. The next morning, walking about the charred embers of his hopes and dreams, the 67-year-old inventor said: "There is value in disaster. All our mistakes are burned up. Now we can
start anew."
I found that attitude quite amazing, and wondered to myself if I could ever remain so optimistic in such a seemingly dire situation. When we recognize that nothing surprises the God that we serve, it can help us to understand that if we are sold out to Him, that He can and will help us...even when everything seems
out-of-synch with what ought to be happening!
Trust! It's an easy word to say, but it takes divine help to actually stake our lives on it.
Have a great day and God bless!
