Hello ,
"Accountability to me is unnatural. My tendency is to only let you know enough about me to give you a good impression. I am a recovering hypocrite." Steve Green
Wow, potent words, and if we are honest, some of us probably can relate far more than we would want to let on.
We all want to be seen well in other's eyes, but we serve a God Who knows all about us...and loves us anyway. Being accountable to one another in the Christian realm is a very unnatural thing to do, (and we must be careful
whom we share our issues with.)
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
What if people felt safe enough in their relationships to be
completely honest and transparent with one another? What if Christianity became something that didn't always look at people for what we want them to be, but sees them for who they really are...and loves them anyway?
These are BIG thoughts. Let me challenge you to spend some time in prayer today asking God for direction.
Have a great day and God bless!
