Hello ,
I'm not sure if this story is a parable or not, but I really like its lesson:
There was an elderly man who had to leave home after 70 years. He was blind and could barely walk with assistance. He was being moved to a nursing home because his bride was no longer able to care for
him.
As the nurse led the old gent down the hallway to his new room, he started smiling and saying, "Oh, I love it already." The nurse replied, "You haven't even set foot in the room." "I know," he answered, "it doesn't make any difference; I decided I was going to like it before we left the house."
Philippians 4:11–13“I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Our attitude towards the unforeseen events of our lives can often make the difference between delighted or devastated, and we can choose to allow God to be in control of it all.
Have a great day and God
bless!
