Hello ,
Christmas has been cancelled this year! What if this were actually true? Would it make a difference to you and your family? And if it did, would it make a difference for the right reasons?
It may interest you to know that theologians have debated the actual date of Christ's birth for centuries. And the
verdict is? Nobody knows for sure exactly what day He was born on. Some claim to, but I haven't discovered any evidence of a date that doesn't leave me with questions.
May I submit to you that even though we may not know a date, that remembering is still significant!? A yearly reminder is a wonderful way to keep in mind what Jesus came to
do for us.
I've had people tell me, "I don't celebrate Christmas. I don't want anything to do with it." I don't have a problem with that. That's certainly a personal choice; however, a number of your neighbors do, and it's always a good idea to go back and look at the story of our Savior's birth all over again.
Take a few minutes today to read Luke chapter 2. It's worth another read!
Have a great day and God bless!
