Hello ,
On this day in 1897, Thomas Edison received a patent for a device that would eventually change the world. Perhaps you've heard of the Kinetograph. No? Today we would call that a movie camera. Edison had developed the camera and a viewing machine (called a Kinetoscope in the early 1890's. Unlike his earlier cameras, Edison's Kinetograph used celluloid film, which George Eastman invented in
1889. The Kinetograph gave filmmakers the ability to film motion pictures by stopping and starting. The device could also use longer rolls of film.
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." Daniel
12:4
Think about the vast array of differences from that day to this. From a primitive camera capable of taking a series of pictures to technology that allows us to take movies with our Smart Phones and upload them within minutes for the entire world to see, technology has grown in leaps and bounds!
The book of Daniel has some amazing things to say about knowledge and how it will increase in the last days of earth's history. Is it increasing? Compare the Kinetograph to a Smart Phone and you have a definite answer to that question.
Have a great day and God bless!
