Hello ,
My mother used to tell me about something that she did as a little
girl. Perhaps you remember it as well. On May 1st, all of the young people would put together what was called a "May-basket." According to her, it was a basket full of flowers that one would hang on the door of someone that they liked (of the opposite sex).
As soon as they would hang the "May-basket" they would run away so that
the person receiving it would have to try and guess who had left it there. Obviously, it was a much more innocent time when my mother was growing up.
I thought about that this morning (on May 1st), and wondered to myself just how good that must have made someone feel to receive that little basket on their door so long ago.
You and I have the power to share something positively unexpected with someone else today. Perhaps its just a smile, or a good word about the great job that they are doing. Maybe it's lending a hand to someone who might need it. Whatever it is, we can bestow that on the people that we meet. Most of the time it's FREE, and really doesn't take much
effort. It does take intentionality, however.
The scriptures make it clear that kindness and love towards one another can truly be a life-changer. How will you make a difference today?
Have a great day and God bless!
